The technology described is a combination of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_tracking">video tracking</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_reconstruction">image-based reconstruction</a>. <p>The final model has some minor artifacts (especially in concave sections) but very nice looking otherwise. I wonder how well it handles complex geometries and deep cavities.</p>
